The Grants Pirates basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Highland Hornets to 48 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now have a 14-3 record. They play next when they host Belen for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. Grants will confront a Eagles team coming off a 33-29 non-league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Highland falls to 4-14 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Valencia (Los Lunas, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 0-11. Valencia lost 46-36 in their recent non-league game against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM)
