The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) and the visiting Hankinson Pirates (Hankinson, ND), observed Maple River's basketball team overwhelm Hankinson by a score of 60-33.

The Eagles (19-20) will now prepare for their challenge against Sibley East (Arlington, MN). The Wolverines come into the AA Section 2 challenge with a 9-13 record.

In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] Tigers (Rosholt, SD) in a B District 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 15. Hankinson will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 61-52 non-league win over Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, SD).
