The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the West Point Pointers (West Point, VA) and the visiting Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), observed West Point's basketball team overwhelm Mathews by a score of 64-28.

The Pointers (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Surry County (Dendron, VA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 0-22 record. In their last challenge, Surry County was routed by Windsor (Windsor, VA), 50-21, in a league challenge.
