The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Warwick Wildcats (Warwick, NY) and the visiting Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY), observed Warwick's basketball team overwhelm Monticello by a score of 50-9.
The Wildcats (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley Central (Montgomery, NY). The Vikings come into the Section 9 Orange County II challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Valley Central was routed by Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY), 56-45, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the SS Seward (Florida, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 42-29 non-league win over Eldred (Eldred, NY).
