Virginia High School Basketball - Franklin County knocks off Staunton River

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Franklin County Eagles basketball team scored a good 55-37 win over the Staunton River Golden Eagles.
The Eagles (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Lord Botetourt defeated William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 36-22, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Golden Eagles battle the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 18. Staunton River will attempt to better on its 3-14 season record. The Colonels come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 41-32 non-league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).
