The West Carteret Patriots basketball squad (Morehead City, NC), was nudged 52-47 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC)
With the victory, Croatan advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to Richlands (Richlands, NC) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 19. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 0-16.
The Patriots now own a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Swansboro for a battle on Wednesday, February 19. West Carteret will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 53-33 league win over White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 16-2.
