The University Hawks basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Parkersburg South Patriots to 54 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hawks now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Fort Hill for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18.

With the loss, Parkersburg South falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 8-9. Parkersburg Catholic lost 53-43 in their recent non-league game against Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV)
