Georgia High School Basketball - Union County winner over Athens Academy

The Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) basketball felled the visiting Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA), 77-59 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Panthers (18-8) will now prepare for their test against Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA). The Storm go into the non-league test with a 22-4 record. In their last test, Providence Christian Academy thwarted Banks County (Homer, GA), 92-75, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 16-10 record. They play next when they travel to Banks County for a AA Region 8 test on Friday, February 17. Athens Academy will encounter a Leopards squad coming off a 92-75 non-league loss to Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA). The Leopards record now stands at 18-9.
