The Santa Rosa Lions basketball team (Santa Rosa, NM), was nudged 64-62 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM)
The Wolverines now possess a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pecos for a 2A District 6 battle on Friday, February 17. Texico will battle a Panthers team coming off a 70-58 league win over Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 21-3.
The Lions (18-7) will now prepare for their battle against Clayton (Clayton, NM). The Yellowjackets come into the 2A District 6 battle with a 12-10 record. In their last battle, Clayton was nudged by Texico (Texico, NM), 68-62, in a league battle.
