Battle Creek Academy Tigers (Battle Creek, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Marshall Academy Griffons (Marshall, MI), 50-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Battle Creek Academy upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Tigers host Will Carleton Academy (Hillsdale, MI) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 13-8. Will Carleton Academy won 47-44 in their recent non-league bout against Jackson Preparatory & Early College (Jackson, MI)

Next up, the Griffons clash with the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles (Kalamazoo, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 23. Marshall Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 67-25 non-league loss to Calhoun Christian (Battle Creek, MI).
