Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Central Clinton Sabers (DeWitt, IA) and the host Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA), saw Central Clinton's basketball squad hold off Clinton by a count of 70-64.

With the victory, Central Clinton upgrades its record to 8-11 on the campaign.

Next up, the River Kings play the Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 19. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-22 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 16-10 record after their 73-53 league win over Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA).
