Chaputnguak Shaman (Chefornak, AK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Nuniwarmiut Herders (Mekoryuk, AK), 82-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chaputnguak upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Shaman travel to Nelson Island (Toksook Bay, AK) to clash with the Islanders in a non-league bout on Friday, February 16. The Islanders go into the bout with a record of 15-7. Nelson Island won 92-24 in their recent non-league bout against Ayaprun (Newtok, AK)
