With the win, Monte Vista upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Pirates host Trinidad (Trinidad, CO) to play the Miners in a 3A/2A Southern Peaks bout on Saturday, February 17. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 2-16. Trinidad won 38-27 in their recent league bout against South Park (Fairplay, CO)

Next up, the Farmers play the Custer County Bobcats (Westcliffe, CO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 17. Sargent will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 48-32 non-league loss to Crested Butte (Crested Butte, CO).
