New Mexico High School Basketball - Espanola Valley thwarts Moriarty

The Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM), 61-45 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Sundevils (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Hilltoppers go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Los Alamos went down by Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM), 57-17, in a non-league test.
The Pintos now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Taos for a non-league test on Saturday, February 17. Moriarty will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 56-38 non-league win over Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 5-2.
