Bennington Badgers (Bennington, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Duchesne Cardinals (Omaha, NE), 42-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bennington upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Badgers travel to Gretna East (Gretna, NE) to play the Griffins in a B District 4 bout on Monday, February 19. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 16-6. Gretna East won 51-44 in their recent non-league bout against Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Mercy Monarchs (Omaha, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 19. Duchesne will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Monarchs go into the bout with a 7-14 record after their 67-16 non-league loss to Elkhorn (Elkhorn, NE).
