Michigan High School Basketball - Garden City topped by Thurston

The Thurston Eagles basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Garden City Cougars to 29 in the Eagles league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walled Lake Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 20. Thurston will battle a Vikings team coming off a 47-26 league loss to Mott (Waterford, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 3-13.
The Cougars (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Huron (New Boston, MI). The Chiefs come into the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Huron dropped by St. Mary Catholic Central (Monroe, MI), 51-32, in a league contest.
