The Houghton Gremlins topped the visiting Marquette Redmen basketball team by a final score of 56-42 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Gremlins face the Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) in a Western Peninsula game, on Monday, February 19. Houghton will attempt to move on its 14-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 7-10 record after their 42-40 non-league loss to Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI).

With the defeat, Marquette moves to 5-12 on the campaign. The Redmen host Negaunee (Negaunee, MI) to battle the Miners in a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 20. The Miners come into the contest with a record of 18-1. Negaunee won 73-25 in their recent league contest against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI)
