Morenci Bulldogs (Morenci, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Summerfield Bulldogs (Petersburg, MI), 41-25 in a league bout.

With the victory, Morenci upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Lenawee Christian (Adrian, MI) to play the Cougars in a Tri-County bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 7-11. Lenawee Christian lost 55-26 in their recent non-league bout against Springport (Springport, MI)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Sand Creek Aggies (Sand Creek, MI) in a Tri-County bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Summerfield will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Aggies come into the bout with a 1-17 record after their 50-23 league loss to Erie-Mason (Erie, MI).
