Oregon High School Basketball - Philomath can't hold off Stayton

The Stayton Eagles basketball team scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Philomath Warriors to 32 in the Eagles league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sweet Home for a 4A Oregon West contest on Tuesday, February 20. Stayton will battle a Huskies team coming off a 41-17 league loss to North Marion (Aurora, OR). The Huskies record now stands at 1-18.
The Warriors (18-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cascade (Turner, OR). The Cougars come into the 4A Oregon West contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Cascade edged Crook County (Prineville, OR), 62-47, in a non-league contest.
