The Sanford Spartans tipped the visiting Thornton Academy Trojans basketball team by a final score of 63-59 in Thursday's league game.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Gorham Rams (Gorham, ME) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, February 21. Sanford will attempt to move on its 14-6 season record. The Rams enter the game with a 17-3 record after their 87-14 non-league win over Noble (North Berwick, ME).
With the defeat, Thornton Academy moves to 10-9 on the year.
