The Newton Rams baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Alcovy Tigers to 1 in the Rams non-league victory on Thursday.
The Rams (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Union Grove (McDonough, GA). The Wolverines go into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Union Grove edged Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA), 14-4, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Newton (Covington, GA). The Rams go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Newton was overwhelmed by Union Grove (McDonough, GA), 11-2, in a non-league match.
