The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Rutland Raiders (Rutland, VT) and the visiting Brattleboro Bears (Brattleboro, VT), observed Rutland's basketball team overwhelm Brattleboro by a score of 77-44.
The Raiders (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Burlington (Burlington, VT). The Seahorses come into the non-league challenge with a 20-2 record. In their last challenge, Burlington trounced Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT), 57-39, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bears encounter the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave (Rutland, VT) in a Southern Vermont - A challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Brattleboro will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a 2-17 record after their 61-40 non-league loss to Otter Valley (Brandon, VT).
