The Elliott County Lions basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting East Carter Raiders to 47 in the Lions league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now possess a 15-6 record. They play next when they host Fairview for a non-league game on Monday, February 17. Elliott County will play a Eagles team coming off a 90-58 non-league loss to Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 4-18.

With the loss, East Carter falls to 7-15 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Russell (Russell, KY) to play the Red Devils in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. The Red Devils go into the game with a record of 13-12. Russell won 63-52 in their recent non-league game against Bath County (Owingsville, KY)
