The Nome-Beltz Nanooks basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting West Anchorage Eagles to 53 in the Nanooks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Nanooks now have a 17-1 record. They play next when they host Barrow for a 3A Western game on Friday, February 28.

With the loss, West Anchorage falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK) to confront the Thunderbirds in a 4A Cook Inlet game on Tuesday, February 18. The Thunderbirds go into the game with a record of 18-1. Bettye Davis East Anchorage won 62-53 in their recent league game against Dimond (Anchorage, AK)
