Virginia High School Basketball - Galax crushes Bland County

February 15, 2025: Galax, VA 24333

The Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA), 57-32 in Saturday's league bout.

The Maroon Tide now possess a 17-2 record. They play next when they host Giles for a Mountain Empire bout on Tuesday, February 18. Galax will play a Spartans team coming off a 63-36 league loss to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Bland County falls to 13-8 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Grayson County (Independence, VA) to play the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire bout on Monday, February 17. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 11-10. Grayson County won 61-51 in their recent league bout against Auburn (Riner, VA)
