In Saturday's league game, the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) basketball team beat the visiting Capitan Tigers (Capitan, NM), by a margin of 40-32.
The SonBlazers now have a 17-3 record. They play next when they host Mescalero Apache for a 2A District 3 game on Tuesday, February 18. Mesilla Valley Christian School will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 67-49 league win over Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM). The Chiefs record now stands at 15-9.
With the loss, Capitan falls to 7-16 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM) to confront the Bears in a 2A District 3 game on Thursday, February 20. The Bears go into the game with a record of 7-17. Cloudcroft lost 55-40 in their recent league game against Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM)
