South Dakota High School Basketball - Scotland/Menno nips Irene/Wakonda

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Scotland/Menno Trappers (Menno, SD) and the visiting Irene/Wakonda Eagles (Irene, SD), observed Scotland/Menno's basketball team edge Irene/Wakonda by a margin of 41-36.

The Trappers (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Viborg/Hurley edged McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD), 40-35, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Irene/Wakonda will attempt to better on its 4-14 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 67-49 non-league loss to Wall (Wall, SD).
