Fuqua Falcons (Farmville, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Brunswick Academy Vikings (Lawrenceville, VA), 57-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Fuqua upgrades its record to 5-14 on the season. The Falcons host Amelia Academy (Amelia Court House, VA) to play the Patriots in a VISAA Division 3 bout on Friday, February 18. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-13. Amelia Academy lost 74-43 in their recent league bout against Kenston Forest (Blackstone, VA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers (Isle of Wight, VA) in a Virginia Colonial bout, on Friday, February 18. Brunswick Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-22 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 62-43 league loss to Tidewater Academy (Wakefield, VA).
