The Corona Cardinals basketball team (Corona, NM), dropped 49-38 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM)
The Mustangs now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magdalena for a A District 3 battle on Thursday, February 17. Mountainair will battle a Steers team coming off a 66-13 league win over Hondo Valley (Hondo, NM). The Steers record now stands at 17-7.
The Cardinals (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM). The Grizzlies come into the A District 3 battle with a 6-15 record. In their last battle, Carrizozo dropped by Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM), 40-21, in a league battle.
