Carsonville-Port Sanilac Tigers (Carsonville, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Akron-Fairgrove Vikings (Fairgrove, MI), 57-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Carsonville-Port Sanilac upgrades its record to 3-12 on the campaign. The Tigers host Merritt Academy (New Haven, MI) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 11-7.

Next up, the Vikings play the Vassar Vulcans (Vassar, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 20. Akron-Fairgrove will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Vulcans come into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 55-51 league loss to Bad Axe (Bad Axe, MI).
