The Aquinas Fightin' Irish (Augusta, GA) basketball nipped the visiting Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA), 52-51 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Fightin' Irish (18-8) will now prepare for their test against Warren County (Warrenton, GA). The Screaming Devils go into the non-league test with a 20-5 record. In their last test, Warren County got by Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA), 72-64, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 17-10 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln County for a non-league test on Friday, February 17. Towns County will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 72-64 non-league loss to Warren County (Warrenton, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 13-12.
