Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Aztec upgrades its record to 6-19 on the campaign. The Tigers host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM) to play the Bobcats in a 4A District 1 bout on Friday, February 17. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 12-13. Bloomfield won 58-50 in their recent league bout against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM)

Next up, the Patriots play the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) in a 4A District 1 bout, on Friday, February 17. Miyamura will attempt to upgrade on its 7-18 season record. The Bengals come into the bout with a 18-7 record after their 88-71 league win over Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM).
