Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats (Lindstrom, MN), 95-84 in a league bout.

With the victory, Big Lake upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to St. Francis (St. Francis, MN) to play the Fighting Saints in a AAA Section 5 bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Fighting Saints come into the bout with a record of 12-11. St. Francis won 82-61 in their recent league bout against Monticello (Monticello, MN)

Next up, the Wildcats play the North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Chisago Lakes Area will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 86-65 non-league loss to Princeton (Princeton, MN).
