The Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT) basketball felled the host Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT), 47-34 in Thursday's league test.
The Redhawks (16-1) will now prepare for their test against Burlington (Burlington, VT). The Seahorses go into the Metro test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Burlington thwarted Essex (Essex Junction, VT), 66-50, in a league test.
The Lakers now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Rice Memorial for a Metro test on Tuesday, February 21. Colchester will encounter a Green Knights squad coming off a 81-52 league win over Bellows Free Academy (St. Albans, VT). The Green Knights record now stands at 14-2.
