Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Crystal Lake Central Tigers (Crystal Lake, IL), 64-53 in a league bout.
With the win, Jacobs upgrades its record to 16-15 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 22. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 19-12. Rockford Auburn won 59-53 in their recent league bout against Guilford (Rockford, IL)
Next up, the Tigers play the Woodstock Blue Streaks (Woodstock, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 18. Crystal Lake Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-25 season record. The Blue Streaks go into the bout with a 10-19 record after their 65-42 non-league loss to Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL).
