Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA), 62-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dodge County upgrades its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Sumter County (Americus, GA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 18-7. Sumter County won 68-35 in their recent non-league bout against Cook (Adel, GA)

Next up, the Purple Hurricane play the Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 17. Fitzgerald will attempt to upgrade on its 11-16 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 9-17 record after their 68-35 non-league loss to Sumter County (Americus, GA).
