Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) and the visiting Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM), saw Gallup's basketball squad overcome Kirtland Central by a tally of 88-71.
With the victory, Gallup improves its record to 18-7 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Miyamura (Gallup, NM) to confront the Patriots in a 4A District 1 challenge on Friday, February 17. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-18. Miyamura lost 58-52 in their recent league challenge against Aztec (Aztec, NM)
Next up, the Broncos confront the Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 17. Kirtland Central will attempt to improve on its 17-8 season record. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a 8-17 record after their 58-50 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM).
