Washington, DC High School Basketball - St. John's edges Gonzaga

February 16, 2023: Washington, DC 20001

The St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) basketball nipped the host Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC), 51-46 in Thursday's league test.

The Cadets (25-2) will now prepare for their test against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Knights go into the Washington Catholic test with a 7-17 record. In their last test, St. Mary's Ryken was tipped by Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD), 66-50, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 22-6 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop McNamara for a Washington Catholic test on Saturday, February 18. Gonzaga will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 75-67 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC). The Mustangs record now stands at 22-6.
