Sesser-Valier Red Devils (Sesser, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL), 70-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Sesser-Valier upgrades its record to 9-18 on the season. The Red Devils host Grayville (Grayville, IL) to play the Bison in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 18. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 10-19. Grayville lost 79-50 in their recent non-league bout against Dieterich (Dieterich, IL)

Next up, the Indians play the Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 18. Johnston City will attempt to upgrade on its 17-14 season record. The Foxes go into the bout with a 13-18 record after their 78-53 non-league loss to Vienna (Vienna, IL).
