Connecticut High School Basketball - Nonnewaug overwhelmed by Northwestern Regional

The Northwestern Regional Highlanders basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the visiting Nonnewaug Chiefs to 57 in the Highlanders league victory on Thursday.

The Highlanders now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomaston for a Berkshire contest on Tuesday, February 21. Northwestern Regional will battle a Bears team coming off a 76-49 non-league win over Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT). The Bears record now stands at 6-15.

The Chiefs (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Litchfield (Litchfield, CT). The Cowboys come into the Berkshire contest with a 7-14 record. In their last contest, Litchfield triumphed over Terryville (Terryville, CT), 59-43, in a league contest.
