The Animas Panthers basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers to 19 in the Panthers league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 18-7 record.

The SonBlazers (6-16) will now prepare for their contest against Reserve (Reserve, NM). The Mountaineers enter the A District 2 contest with a 12-10 record. In their last contest, Reserve triumphed over Quemado (Quemado, NM), 37-34, in a league contest.
