Cedarville Trojans (Cedarville, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newberry Indians (Newberry, MI), 58-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Cedarville upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Trojans host St. Mary (Lake Leelanau, MI) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-6. St. Mary won 65-44 in their recent non-league bout against Onekama (Onekama, MI)

Next up, the Indians play the St.Ignace Saints (St. Ignace, MI) in a Straits Area bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Newberry will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 53-9 league loss to Sault Area (Sault St. Marie, MI).
