Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts (Mio, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals (Whittemore, MI), 29-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mio-Au Sable upgrades its record to 5-13 on the season. The Thunderbolts travel to Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Monday, February 20. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-16.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines (Au Gres, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 20. Whittemore-Prescott will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 44-31 league win over Posen (Posen, MI).
