The Pequot Lakes Patriots basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Staples-Motley Cardinals to 35 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.
The Patriots now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Proctor for a AA Section 7 contest on Friday, February 17. Pequot Lakes will meet a Rails team coming off a 46-43 non-league win over Greenway (Coleraine, MN). The Rails record now stands at 17-7.
The Cardinals (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Park-Audubon (Lake Park, MN). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Lake Park-Audubon was routed by Underwood (Underwood, MN), 61-29, in a league contest.
