The Aqqaluk Bears basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Davis-Romoth Wolves to 59 in the Bears league victory on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host McQueen for a 1A Northwest Arctic contest on Saturday, February 17. Aqqaluk will battle a Qavviks team coming off a 72-65 league loss to Davis-Romoth (Selawik, AK). The Qavviks record now stands at 2-7.

The Wolves (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Shishmaref (Shishmaref, AK). The Northern Lights come into the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Shishmaref edged Aniguiin (Elim, AK), 99-36, in a league contest.
