Marathon Red Raiders (Marathon, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Assumption Royals (Wisconsin Rapids, WI), 76-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Marathon upgrades its record to 21-1 on the season. The Red Raiders travel to Edgar (Edgar, WI) to play the Wildcats in a Marawood - South bout on Monday, February 19. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Edgar lost 53-45 in their recent league bout against Auburndale (Auburndale, WI)

Next up, the Royals play the Newman Fighting Cardinals (Wausau, WI) in a Marawood - South bout, on Monday, February 19. Assumption will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Fighting Cardinals go into the bout with a 4-18 record after their 56-39 league loss to Stratford (Stratford, WI).
