Tucumcari Rattlers (Tucumcari, NM) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Dexter Demons (Dexter, NM), 63-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Tucumcari upgrades its record to 8-12 on the campaign. The Rattlers travel to New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM) to play the Colts in a 3A District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 12-10. New Mexico Military Institute won 51-46 in their recent league bout against Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM)

Next up, the Demons play the Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Dexter will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 12-11 record after their 51-46 league loss to New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM).
