The Eastpointe Shamrocks basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Hazel Park Vikings to 59 in the Shamrocks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Shamrocks now sport a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Voyageur Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 20. Eastpointe will meet a Cougar team coming off a 56-53 non-league win over Southeastern (Detroit, MI). The Cougar record now stands at 15-4.
The Vikings (8-14) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary Catholic Central (Monroe, MI). The Falcons/Kestrels enter the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, St. Mary Catholic Central ran past Huron (New Boston, MI), 60-41, in a league contest.
