Riverview Pirates (Riverview, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jefferson Bears (Monroe, MI), 79-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Riverview upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Pirates host Lincoln Park (Lincoln Park, MI) to play the Railsplitters in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Railsplitters go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Lincoln Park won 59-55 in their recent league bout against Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI)

Next up, the Bears play the Whiteford Bobcats (Ottawa Lake, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 64-52 league win over Sand Creek (Sand Creek, MI).
