The Kasson-Mantorville Komets basketball team (Kasson, MN), was nudged 49-46 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN)
The Cougars now possess a 17-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cannon Falls for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 20. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will battle a Bombers team coming off a 67-59 non-league loss to Caledonia (Caledonia, MN). The Bombers record now stands at 19-6.
The Komets (7-18) will now prepare for their battle against Byron (Byron, MN). The Bears come into the AAA Section 1 battle with a 19-7 record. In their last battle, Byron was nudged by Stewartville (Stewartville, MN), 65-29, in a league battle.
